Recently, a meeting to revise and edit the industry standards "Technical Requirements for Thermal Boilers (Consideration Draft)" (HG/T 20567) and "Technical Specifications of Molten Salt Boilers (Consideration Draft)" (HG/T 20658), organized by Chenchuan Company, was successfully held in Nanjing. The event was attended by more than twenty leading experts from industry organizations such as China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Research and Engineering Association, China Chemical Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec), China National Offshore Petroleum and Gas Corporation (CNOOC) and Southwest Institute of Chemical Industry Research and Engineering. Also present at the meeting were leaders of the China Petroleum, Gas and Chemical Industry Research and Design Association and its Industrial Boiler Design Committee.
As the editor-in-chief of both standards, Chenchuang pays great attention to the revision work and at the meeting sincerely thanks all the major and involved organizations as well as industry experts for their continued support. Chenchuang sincerely hopes that the participants will share their professional knowledge and actively exchange opinions and suggestions, so as to jointly complete the revision of standards efficiently and make significant contributions to the standardization and normalization of the use of thermal boilers and molten salt boilers in China's chemical industry.
This update of the standard is in line with industry technology trends and strictly complies with the latest government requirements in the areas of safety, environmental protection, carbon reduction and energy conservation. Based on a systematic assessment of the development level of integrated thermal furnace and human molten furnace technologies in the Chinese chemical industry, regulations regarding safety control, environmental management and energy saving have been optimized to reduce carbon emissions, and higher technical performance has been established. The updated standard will further regulate the design, production and use of thermal and molten man furnaces, significantly improving their overall efficiency in ensuring safe operation, reducing environmental emissions and saving energy, thereby creating a reliable technical basis for the green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development of the Chinese chemical industry.
About the HG/T 20567 and HG/T 20658 standards
The two revised industry standards in current versions are the “Technical Requirements for Thermal Boilers” (HG/T 20567-2013) and the “Technical Specifications for Molten Salt Boilers” (HG/T 20658-2014).
In accordance with the requirements of the Notice of the General Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China "On the Publication of the Plan for the Development and Revision of the First Batch of Industry Standards for 2024" (State Letter No. 18 [2024]), work on the revision of the standards "Technical Requirements for Thermal Boilers" (HG/T 20567) and "Technical Specifications for Molten Salt Boilers" (HG/T 20658) is organized by the Professional Industrial Boiler Design Committee of the China Petroleum, Gas and Chemical Industry Research and Design Association. The editors-in-chief are Tianjin Chenchuan Environmental Engineering Technology Company and China Tianchen Engineering Company, with the participation of other participating organizations.
